On Saturday December 5th at 4:56 and 4:57 pm my little girls came into this world screaming and kicking. I had just met with my diabetic counselor on Friday and was at stop and shop getting things for my new diabetic diet, when all of the sudden I felt like maybe I had peed myself. I went to the bathroom and there was blood everywhere....I also had clots. I was petrified I was only 33 weeks 1 day. Long story short I ran out of the bathroom and had an ambulance called as my hubby tried to calm me down. I stayed in the hospital overnight for observation and was told I had a placental abruption. My doctor then had me transferred to a hospital with a level 3 NICU just in case. When I arrived my peri checked me and in the matter of 20 minutes I was having an emergency c-section. It was snowing and they had given me a steroid shot the night before but I didn't make it to the second one. Chrissa Isabella is 4lbs. 15oz. and 17 3/4 inches long. Chloe Ariana is 4lbs. 13 oz and 18 inches long. They both scored 9s on their apgar and need no help breathing they are being treated for a little jaundice but thats about all. They are also both eating from a bottle. My recovery is painful but Percocept is helping me through. I forgot to mention that it was a good thing my Placenta abrupted because Chloe had double knotted her umbilical cord and also wrapped it around her neck three times. Everything happens for a reason and I am so blessed. Please excuse any mispelled words I am heavily medicated due to the severity of my incision....I lost so much blood the med student almost fainted and had to leave the room lol maybe he should reconsider his field. Anyway ladies I will try to post pics meanwhile I wish you all healthy happy pregnancies and many many blessings...This was an amazing experience and I've only just begun, off to stare at my girls in awe......
