So my big plans to paint the nursery this weekend kind of fizzled out. We spent Friday night moving the guest bed (had to disassemble to get it out the door) from my office to K's office and packing up my office stuff. Saturday the goal was to get the room painted but we got side tracked with other projects like taking the dogs to get their picture with Santa and shopping for Christmas gifts. So Sunday comes along and I figure we'll knock it out, but nope, K is sick. Really sick. So I filled nail holes, sanded, mudded, etc and then got the ceiling painted but that was it.
Maybe tonight I'll get the walls primed - wish me luck!
Re: Well the ceiling is painted
Hey, walls painted or not, it sounds like you made fantastic progress!! Good luck with the priming, and I hope K feels better soon!
Random question for you-- what kind of primer are you using? We have to cover a really dark color in what used to be our office (and now will be the nursery), and it's been so long since I painted anything, I am totally confused by the options out there now (no-VOC? low-VOC? what?).

We used the no voc paint by bengamin moore called natura (i think) it was really great and did not smell at all! S painted and she does interior and exterior painting as a side job and thought it had very good coverage. We didn't need to prim as we were painting over white. It took 2 coats and worked out very well. She used aura (low voc) paint for a job this summer and didn't notice a huge difference in smell but felt it was a little drippy but the coverage was still very good. She said she had to stay on top of the drips though. The aura is much more afordable though. The natura was very expensive but we only needed 1 gallon so it wasn't so bad. S only paints with benjamin moore paint she says it is the best and she paints quite a bit so she would know. Also she loves the purdy brushes also a bit expensive but they cut in so much better.
