AW: Oh, cake balls. (and other PIPs)

Hey girls,
Well, I just wanted to thank you all for your support and fun suggestions for getting through last night. I ended up having a lot of fun, the cake balls were a hit, and due to all my drinking, I was able to handle all the pregnant women without too much trouble. They are all close friends, and they all know about my loss, so they were really sensitive about talking about anything baby related in front of me. So...on to other news.
I know many of you have been wondering about the cake balls. They really were fun to make, and they tasted great! Everyone commented on how much they liked them:
I also made the strawberry cream cookies that Ginaincali posted. They were also a hit!
And while I'm being an AW...gotta give some props to my dh for being so sweet to me on my bday. He didn't go so far as to make a cake, but he did buy a cake and decorate it himself 
It didn't turn out half bad...definitely won't make it on cake wrecks!
And there was a tie for best gift of the night (even though I didn't want gifts!)...my brother got me this:
He didn't know what to get, so he asked my mom. My mom had asked me what I wanted previously, and I told her nothing. She said, there must be something you want/need that you won't buy for yourself, so I said, hmm...maybe POM juice (more as a joke). She didn't get end up getting me that, but when my brother asked for tips, that's what she suggested. He had no idea why I wanted POM juice, but when I told him he decided he gets 1/3 credit if I get KU this cycle!
And the other awesome gift of the night:
Buddy got a snuggie!! I couldn't stop laughing.
Anyways, that pretty much sums up my night. Thanks for listening if you've read this far...hopefully it's brought some sort of entertainment for you on this gloomy Sunday

Come on over! I've got left over dough in the fridge...I can whip up some more of everything
I will be right over! Oh wait, it'll take me about 6 hours to get there, assuming the layovers aren't too bad.
Too bad I have to work this week, I could certainly use the time away. Enjoy your treats and frankly, your weather that I am sure is much better than it is here.

Yes, indeed it is the bottle from Costco. I'm a little bit scared about AF this cycle, if she shows. From what I heard, it won't be pretty! Hopefully she'll just skip out of town for about 10 months!
They were actually pretty easy, it's just a bit of a process. You can find the steps on bakerella.com. And I got the sticks at Target in the baking section. $1.99 for 35 sticks
