I have been having some crazy cramps. I was admitted to L&D at 33 weeks for this. This was the first time I was having bad cramping with my contractions and not just the tightening. It was very painful. Since being released from the hospital and being home I am still having them. They are not always regular though. Last night it lasted for 45 min and then subsided a bit (still crampy, but much more bearable). I am wondering if this is just a normal stage of where I am at in my pregnancy or is this a sign I am going to go into labor soon? I have a c-section scheduled and I am really hoping that we make it to that date. Any feedback on your experience is appreciated. TIA!
Re: Having lots of cramps, normal or a sign I will labor soon?
I had menstrual-like cramps on Tuesday so they insisted on checking me out. I remember that was the first sign to me that I was in labor with DD.
Mine have subsided a bit but I have them again this morning. Not sure if it is just my body getting ready for the babies in a few weeks or an indication something is coming sooner.
I just want to throw in my two cents.. I was feeling 'crampy' when I went into premature labor with my twins. It felt like a cross between menstrual cramps and gas/constipation cramps across my lower abdomen and sometimes into my lower back.
Please don't hesitate to go in and get checked. I wish I'd gone in instead of convincing myself it was just gas.. they might have been able to stop my labor. Once my water broke.. too late!
