Post on 0-3 made me wonder. I have a glass of wine probably 2 out of 3 nights after DS is in bed (he sleeps for about 7 hours before he wakes up to eat). I don't pump, and I've never drunk any more than that.
In that other post, a couple of people said they've had 5 or 6 drinks then fed their LO. What's your limit?
Re: BFing Moms - how much/often do you drink?
I have had 2 beers since DD was born. I think if I liked wine I would maybe drink it once a week, but I'm not much of a drinker anyway.
I wouldn't drink more than 1 while BFing. When I was still in 0-3 I had someone tell me not to be such a p*ssy, and that I could drink 3 or 4 a day and it wouldn't effect LO. Ummmm....sorry, I believe my Doctor more than some random person on the internet.
I know! "Oh hey, I'm gonna drink a 6er, then nurse my baby."
Ok, that is not as bad as I thought.
p.s. we have that onesie!
"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
Yeah I should've clarified that probably! But still, it seems like a lot, even if you aren't going to nurse for 7 hours IMO.

2 glasses of wine = tipsy **Gretchen**
It's averaging every other week for me.
I wasn't a big drinker before C was born. I had a 2 glasses of wine on Thanksgiving after he went to bed, and a glass the next night. In both cases he didn't eat until 7+ hours later.
I have a beer or a glass of wine probably 3-4 nights per week. Occasionally I'll have two, if he's just gone to bed and I don't expect to nurse for a while - but if he did wake up, I'd have no problem nursing.
A couple weeks ago I had my HS reunion and I had 4-5 glasses of wine and felt really drunk (I'm a lightweight now!) - so I stopped drinking at midnight, pumped and dumped at 2:30 a.m., gave him a bottle at 6 and then nursed as usual at 8 a.m.

About once a week I'll have one glass at night. DS keeps getting up earlier and earlier during the night, so I never know when I'll be nursing next. I know I could probably have more, but one puts me in a nice, relaxed mood. Any others and I'd be knocked out.
