Head & Shoulders shampoo

has anyone used Head & SHoulders shampoo on their infant? my SIL's pedi recommended it for her kids and i googled it and there are plenty of ppl that have used it for their LO's dry scalp... but i'm kind of worried.  I dont want to call my Pedi for this since i feel like it's not an urgent thing. thx

Re: Head & Shoulders shampoo

  • I used olive oil to get rid of DS's cradle cap.  It took a few days but it worked.  I wouldn't want to use something so harsh if I didn't have to.

  • when i was at my ped office this week i asked about dry scalp.  she said rub baby oil, i used  burnt bees, leave it for 4 hours and then wash it ans use a brush or your finger to gently rub the dry area. do it daily until it goes away.  i tried it and it worked like a charm..GL!
  • I used vaseline after reading that it would help dry scalp.  I rubbed it on her scalp before bathtime and shampooed it out.  It worked well.
  • i used it for my older DS on my ped's recommendation for his cradle cap and it worked really well. just a small drop on a washcloth and kind of rub it around in small circles.

  • Just don't forget these shampoos aren't tear-free - if it gets in baby's eyes, it will BURN!
