Adorable idea for Christmas tradition

I wish I'd read this last year....

Buy/make a "plain" tree skirt, then have the children add a handprint each year!  Doesn't that sound like it would be adorable?

I wonder if it would matter if I did it and just didn't have Gavin's first Christmas handprint on it.

Re: Adorable idea for Christmas tradition

  • Just thought of this...last year I made placemats for our dining room with Gavin's footprints and made them into snowmen like the picture below.  I think I'm going to go get a new tree skirt and do the feet instead!

  • I like the idea but I think that I would add them to the back/ underside of the skirt. I like markers but I don't always like looking at them if that makes any sense.

I love the placemats very cute!

  • sounds cute- I would probably do it in fabric and just heat-n-bond it or applique it to the skirt so it didn't get damaged.  I love hand and foot print crafts!

  • Very Cute idea...love it!

  • I like that idea!  I want to make reindeer out of Ryan's hands/feet.  The footprint (heel down) would be the face and the hands would be the antlers!
