Crap. This is exactly why I haven't bought DD any M&D toys (MIC). BUT, MIL bought her a set of their blocks So now, I have to tell her I want the receipt so that we can exchange them or something. Grr.
GRRRRRRR! That shape sorter is DS's favorite toy! He chews on those cubes all the time!!! And there is absolutely no labelling on the item to be able to look it up! My mom specifically got this because it was on some safe list of toys last christmas.
And I had recommended this toy for half a dozen friends too...

Read the write up about it on Zrecs. I'm not too worried. Apparently it's all a matter of how the stuff is tested.
I'm still anxious to see the test results, as well as hear more on the methods used. It's one thing for DB to state the flaw is in the testing ... but that really means nothing if he won't say why.
I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more recalls as the new reg's kick in. And I don't think they'll be limited to only MIC items. I have a feeling the whole toy world is going to get a shake down.
I'm glad they recalled it. If it's crap and it has any chance of getting out kids sick I want it off the market. It makes me sick to my stomach that people are willing to cut corners to save a few bucks...when it's our kids who pay the price.
My mom used to buy DS some and we have that pound a peg toy... I've told her now not to buy any more and thankfully shes been paying attention to it. I'll have to get rid of that peg toy, though. Stinks, though, since he likes it so much and we don't have anything else like it.
Re: Didn't know about this, anyone else? M+D recall.

Yea, I don't buy them for that reason too.

Crap. Now I have to make sure we to get receipts for these if we get them for Christmas since I'm sure DS will wind up with that pound a peg one.
Is anyone else sick of the crap coming from China? I'm so fed up at this point.

It's all about money, money, money.
Sad.
