Try not to feel guilty about not being excited.  There's nothing wrong with shock.

My biggest lack of excitement stems from the fact that I NEVER wanted 3 kids.  I always wanted 2.  So to be pregnant with 2 while I already have 1 was shocking, and a bit disheartening at first.  Thankfully, my husband completely understands my feelings, and doesn't make me feel bad for not being excited (he's been grinning from ear to ear ever since we found out).

You'll get there.  Like I said, I'm still not 100% excited.  I'm scared for what may happen, especially as my H is deploying.  I have good days and bad days.  The good days are starting to outnumber the bad, which is about all I can ask for.   I suppose there are many reasons that we're pg for 9 months - adjusting to the idea of how many are in there is certainly one of the.

  • Thank you so much! There isn't a whole lot of people that understand what I'm going through. It is exciting, but its also really scary.

It is definitely a shock that I did not anticipate. We have a lot of family that is willing to help, so I try to keep that in the back of my mind. But right now I'm scared about carrying twins. I have a job where I stand all day and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to work as long as I did with DD.

I know once I get to the doctor on the 14th and get some of my questions answered I will feel a lot better.

Thank you so much for your post! It is wonderful to have someone that knows how I'm feeling!
