Post Pardum Pre-Eclamsia

I know a couple of you on here also had this.

On Monday I felt a little light headed but it passed and I just thought "Dear Lord I better not be pregnant again!" :) but it did it quite a bit on Wed. again and I had a headache so I took my blood pressure and it was high. I went in to my OB yesterday and it was still high so they put me back on meds. I asked if it was still related and they said yes.

I figured that once we had it under control everything would then be fine. Just thought I'd let ya know so you can be on the lookout. I know my blood pressure wasn't my first thought when I started having symptoms 2 months out.

    I was diagnosed with pre-e at 27 weeks.  3 weeks pp I was put on bp meds since my bp shot up to 160/110.  I am still on meds but am down to half a pill a day.  Hopefully someday I will be able to come off.  I too thought that after delivery my bp would return to normal....unfortunately that was not the case :(

    Yikes. I've been off the meds now for over a week and they told me to keep an eye on my pressure at home. After it being normal the first few days I haven't bothered but now I will. I just really didn't think it could come back. Hope yours goes back to normal soon.

    Also, just curious, did they treat you with a magnesium sulfate IV at any point? They kept me in the hospital and did that and then put me on pills for at home.

    They put me back in the hospital 6 days PP and I was put on mag sulfate. 

    I was sent home with meds and after a couple of weeks everything seemed to be under control and I weaned off the meds and have been fine until now.

    Like you they said to keep an eye on it and after a little while I just didn't bother!
