When I send holiday cards, for example, I put DH's name first b/c that's what my mom did (she did my dad, her, me, lil sis). I have also rationalized it that this way it is in age order. I feel like it is a little sexist tho & my name should go first since we all know I am the one who created the card. What do you do?
Re: On cards, whose name goes first?
This...minus Dog #2.
Depends who the card is going to. If I'm sending a card to my friends or my side of the family, I put my name first. If it's to DHs then his name comes first.
ETA: We are writing out cards and inserting a pic of DD.
lol we have our cat sleeping in the baby's bouncer as one of our pics on the holiday card this year but I didn't sign it from him - oops
The man of the house's name should go first...just like it's the man's name you use when you would say Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
ETA: If there are kids, I put them in order of age.
I do DH, me, LO.
May be sexist, but I do it because DH is the head of our household. I've always thought of it like this. IDK.

I think it is traditional to do DH, you, kids in age order.
Although, IMO, this "head of househould" stuff is laughable crap.
DD -- 5YO
DS -- 3YO
Yeah. I'm "head of household" in our house. LOL! My name goes first, and that's that. DH could care less.
