I have been having nightly leg cramps that wake me up! I can get them to subside by moving my legs or standing up, but they are bothersome and painful! Any suggestions on how to prevent these? I have read they are common in pregnancy, just wondering if others are having or have had them and what they did for them.
Re: leg cramps
I had several days were I was waking up screaming from the pain of the lower leg cramps. My husband started massaging my lower legs before we went to bed and they stopped. It's something to try if you have that option.

they say more potassium helps- try eating some bananas each day... stretching the legs before bed helped me- and making sure you drink enough water.
when they happen- if you flex your calf and push on your flexed foot it will help (b/c it stretches the muscle)
what you are having is a charlie horse- so you can google to learn more about them. they suck- but can be managed.
