I just got an email from Glenni - owner of A Nurturing Moment.  Thought this was interesting that she has a sliding scale for her fees if her consulting fees are too much for you. I know she really wants to help everyone who wants to be, be successful at BFing.

 You've taken a breastfeeding class. You nursed as soon as your baby was born. You're nursing every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. But breastfeeding just isn't as easy as you thought it would be. Maybe your nipples are cracked and bleeding, or maybe you're not making enough milk. Whatever the problem is, a visit with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant can make a huge difference. We offer private consultations either in your home or in the store. A home visit in Madison County or East Limestone County is $90. An in-store consult is $60; however, we offer a sliding fee scale for parents who can't afford the in-store consult fee.

    They really are fabulous. Everyone that works there is really helpful and knowledgeable. I probably wouldn't have been as  successful at it as I have been without them in the beginning
