First Appt/US went well (PIP)

It started off a little shaky because DH had a migraine (i.e. cranky) and then they told me they had me down as having my appointment yesterday. Um, no! I had it written down in several places and specifically asked for an early day from work today for this. They were accommodating though and took us anyway.

I was so nervous when she first started the abdominal ultrasound because I couldn't see anything. Then she switched to the vaginal ultrasound and we finally got to see our little one. Amazing!

I'm measuring 7 weeks 5 days which is exactly where I should be according to my LMP (although not according to my ovulation date - looks like I'll be changing my ticker back Stick out tongue ) and baby had a heart rate of 156.

They sent me home with two bags full of goodies and a bunch of confusing instructions on getting different screenings done.

I am so amazed that there is really a baby in there. We were both just speechless. It makes it so much more real to se and hear it. We even saw its little heart beating!
