3rd Trimester

I can feel my feet swelling

Literally. I'm sitting here on my couch and I can feel them getting bigger. They swell from time to time. And after a few hours they go back to normal.

Speaking of feet, does anyone have wide feet, just in general? If you do, is your "baby" toe always red from stuffing your feet in shoes that are not wide sized? I have wide feet and my baby toe is always red and gross and the nail isn't pretty either. I have gross feet. Sad

Re: I can feel my feet swelling

  • I broke my left foot a few years ago and it's never been right since, so that foot is bigger than my right foot. I never wear wide shoes because they are too big for my right foot then, so my poor little toe on my left foot is always getting squished and is usually red. It's definitely gotten worse with the pregnancy too.

  • My feet are wide and it is so hard to find shoes that fit right. They are wide in the front and regular in the back.  My baby toe is always getting squished . . . I also have a very small toe nail on my baby toes.

I understand what you mean about feeling your feet swelling . . It is the oddest sensation . . Like you are going to split though your skin.

  • I have wide feet and never buy wide shoes. Red baby toes have just become normal to me!

Swollen feet are not fun, I sit here and try to elevate them and it starts to hurt they get that swollen!!! Yikes

Good luck I hope yours go down and don't bother you too bad

  • My mom has really wide, short stubby feet. Her pinky toe is always red, but barely has a toe nail since it's so tiny. She has a hard time finding wide comfy shoes also.

  • My feet/ankles are constantly HUGE. The only time they look vaguely normal is first thing in the morning.

  • My feet aren't usually wide but they have been.  When I wear my slip on shoes my toes feel like someone chopped off the ends and corners of all of them when I take them off.  It's horrible!
  • I have wide feet and a high arch, so wearing normal width shoes isn't an option for me most of the time. ?I wear a size 10.5 or 11, too. ? If my feet continue to swell, I'll be wearing burlap sacks tied around my ankles.

  • I have had zero swelling....and then today I go to put on my ring and it won't even go on...wahhhhh!
