NBR: Online holiday shopping vent

DH's Christmas gift arrived in the mail - with a big fat picture of what's inside right on the box.  And he's the one who signed for it. WTH?! If someone orders something in, say, November, it might be a Christmas gift and you might want to put it inside another box or wrap it in brown paper! Grrr

  • Oh no! That sucks! Any chance he wasn't paying attention and didn't see the picture? I know my DH is quite dense when it comes to stuff like that and almost always misses it when I think I've slipped up!

If the item is from Amazon itself and not some other business that uses Amazon to sell their items, the boxes come unmarked... so no need to worry (in my experience) :)

  • I hope he didn't notice, but it would be my luck this would be the one time he's alert. LOL

And, yes, shipping to your office is way smart. Wish I thought of that!

  • haha... I learned that lesson a couple of years ago.  I ordered a nice coffee machine for my parents and thought I'd save myself the trouble of traveling with a large box by having it shipped to them.  Well... my mom called about 2 weeks before Christmas telling me that a coffee maker arrived with my name on it.  I said, "why do you say it's a coffee maker?"  She said, "there is a huge picture of it on the front of the box!"  haha... they got their present early that year.  Luckily we had some yummy coffee Christmas morning!  :)
