AW: DS is 2 today and we're still co-sleeping...

Sort of...

DS#2 is in a toddler bed at the foot of our bed.  He goes to sleep by himself around 7:45.  DH and I don't go to bed until about 10 or 11pm.  Usually around 1 or 2am, DS will climb off his toddler bed, walk over to DH, arms outreached, saying, "Up daddy, Up daddy, Up daddy!"

DS#1 was the same... however, at almost 3 yo, he said, "Me want my own room now... with pirates."  So we made him a pirate themed bedroom.

Co-sleeping doesn't last forever, my boys let us know when they wanted out... I'm sure my days *sort of* co-sleeping w/DS#2 are numbered... enjoy it!

  • That's great! We ended full-time co-sleeping when DS was 3 and DD was 2. It was still 50% until recently. They spend a couple nights per week in my bed still.

  • Oh, that is so sweet and I am jealous!
  • My 2 y/o starts his nights in his room then comes in around 3am and climbs in bed and falls asleep. He went through a phase where he wanted to sleep on his own, but recently he's been clingy(totally not complaining) I think its because Im showing now and he's felt the baby move. Im a little worried about co-sleeping with a newborn and my whirlwind 2 y/o and DH in a queen size bed.
