TTC/Charters Help (TMI)

Robert is TTC... LOL - I am sort of eh about the whole thing right now.  If I get pg, great, if not, then I'm ok with it too.

Monday night I started having a lot of watery CM - told him I thought O time was coming.

Tuesday, as I was on my death bed and in no physical shape to DTD (LOL) I woke up with a ton of EWCM (seriously, fertile myrtle here).  We obviously didn't have sex because I was so sick.

Today I had gloppy EWCM - it wasn't as wet and clear as it had been but it was still stretchy and abundant.  We DTD.

Think there is a chance we could have actually conceived? or was my fertile period over?  I can't remember if Ovulation happens DURING EWCM? or if the EWCM happens right before Ovulation in order to sustain the sperm to get ready for ovulation?

And if I remember correctly, the egg "lives" for like 24 hours, right?

Thanks girls!

Re: TTC/Charters Help (TMI)

  • have you been taking your temp as well as checking your CM? it's easier for me to tell what's going on if i can see the temps that go along with the CM pattern.

typically after O the CM dries up and becomes sticky. so if you have watery/stretchy/abundant CM then you are prob fertile. once it dries up and becomes sticky you can assume that you've O'd and have passed your fertile period.

  • Ditto tippy. You did the right thing-you can have EWCM leading up to O and it could be there the day of O too.

If you haven't detected the temp shift yet, assume you're still fertile to be safe :)

  • Ditto pp.  And sperm can survive in fertile CF for up to 5 days.  We DTD on CD8 and I O'd on CD11, and I got pregnant.
