Houston Babies

My head is spinning over Santa gifts.

I thought I was done shopping but Sarah saw something she really really wants Santa to bring.  This is the first Christmas she's been able to really tell us what she wants.  Of course it's out of stock online so I could easily see myself running from store to store trying to find this one item.

It was much easier when I didn't have to "hide" Christmas gifts from her and when she didn't have such strong opinions.  I never thought I'd be one of those moms who goes in desperate search of a toy!  I know this isn't a big problem but what would you do?  Personally, I think she has enough presents and my instinct is to just save it for her birthday.

  • If you want it for her then go for it!  I wouldn't stress about what you've spent on one versus the other  I think it's important to try and give her what you can since it's something she asked for.  It's a great way to establish the magic of Santa's giving..

What's the toy? I'll happily look for it locally when I'm out and about if you'd like.

  • What is it?  If you tell us someone might have seen one recently or will keep an eye out for you.   :)

  • I have nothing better to do so I can always help with online searches for you.

To me, if you know for a fact that your kids are great and well balanced, I see nothing wrong with spoiling themand getting them what they ask for or want.  I was spoiled as a kid (always got what I asked Santa for), so I say go for it as long as you still have your sanity.  Fortunately, the only thing DD wants are puzzles and dinosaurs which is easy to get, but DH said that if she really wanted those hamster pet things that are in high demand, he would have stood in line at TRU on black Friday to get it.

  • It's the Disney musical vanity.  I think it costs around $80.  It's basically a vanity that "magically" turns into a piano and also has a magic mirror.  The brush turns into a microphone, et cetera.  OMG - she wanted to watch teh commercial over and over!!

If anyone sees it, will you let me know?  Ack - I'm feeling the pressure!

This?  Walmart has it online and you can get it shipped to the store for free.

Lisa, thank you SO much.  Thank you thank you.  You're an angel.  I can't believe you're helping me shop online when you could go into labor any second.  You made my day!

I just ordered it and it should be at the store for pickup no later than December 21.  She is going to flip  when she sees it Christmas morning! GiftGiftGift

Lilygirl and Jeneric04, yes and yes - that's a great idea.
