i wanted to smack my kid about 10 minutes ago because he would.not.stop. So i handed him to DH and walked away. this is.n't the first time i've felt this way. blah i just needed to get that out.
I sometimes feel the same way. I don't do it because DD doesn't know better but its hard when you are tired and they don't seem to be consoled in any way.I give her to DH as well and he gives me to her when she does the same thing to him.

Don't feel bad because you wanted to. Feel good because you didn't.
I think every mom (PPD or not) has these moments.
My mom tells me all the time how my sister was so colicky & fussy as a baby, that she used to put her in the crib while my mom went outside & walked around the house. We all have a breaking point, and we all need breaks now & then.

I did that many, many times when DS was as little as your little guy. Don't feel bad. You did the right thing. You really did. It's so hard. It's hard enough to have a new baby and not know what to do...toss in PPD and it's a disaster. Keeping your baby safe and walking away was the right thing to do.
