curious what you wore/are wearing

My shower is this weekend and I really haven't even thought about what to wear. I think I will wear black pants and this cute shirt I bought not too long ago. Gotta go home tonight and try it on. I have tomorrow off to shop if need be.

But just curious what did you wear? Dress? Pants? Heels? Flats? Did you go for cute/comfy or as best you could, both?

To my first shower, which was a little more formal, I wore a black dress with pumps. Mama likes her pumps and I'm not pushing them aside yet. To my next two, which are super informal, I'll probably wear a long sweater top with leggings. Just depends on the setting of the shower and how you're feeling that day.

I wore an empire style short dress with leggings and heels. I figured I was sitting most the day heels would work and they were fine.

Just be careful with what type of dress you wear if you decide to go that route. Once you're sitting and opening gifts, legs tend to spread, I've been flashed numerous times by many a pregnant women! )

I wore a dress, tights and flats. I was super comfy. Since dresses are flowy, I was able to wear a non-maternity dress so that opened up what I could where.

I wore a long dress, and forgot to put on my shoes :-). It was at my MIL's house, so I walked around barefoot all day long...it was great!

You don't really have to worry about this since we are into the winter months, but at my baby shower with DS, I wore a sleeveless dress ( not strapless, just no sleeves) and everyone was taking pictures when I was sitting and reading cards or sitting and opening gifts. In both positions my arms were smushed against my sides and made them look 3 times fatter than they are. All my shower pics make me look WAAYYY bigger than I was, which was already WAAAYYY bigger than I normally am....you get the jist. Just wear something you will look back on and say "wow I was really cute" whether it be comfy or not...those pics last forever!

comfy cotton jersey dresses. for the first one i wore flats and nylons, but after my feet swelled later that night for the second shower i decided to nix the hosiery and wore slipper socks for most of the party.
