Babies on the Brain

Where are you delivering? Just curious since I know basically nothing about the birthing centers in the area hospitals. Though it's a bit cart before horse, I'm starting to research which OBs are in-network since I don't have a doctor in the state, and they are of course tied to certain hospitals.

Re: ::Anna::

  • we're delivering at WakeMed but I know a lot of girls on here have delivered at Rex - I'd think either of those would be good options. Wake has the level IV NICU where as Rex is a Level III I believe.

  • Yeah, those are the two I'm leaning towards because I really don't want to drive to Durham. I've found one OB practice I like at Rex, but I need to check with DH's insurance since I might be switching. I feel silly for even thinking about this now, but I guess it'd be nice to have a doctor to call when I get a BFP.

    I'm hopefully going to be working at one of the three this summer, so if I continue to have no luck, I could get some firsthand experience that way.

    Thanks for the input!
