L&D trip was a bummer

Some of you saw my post last night. For a couple of hours my contractions were 10 minutes apart. Then they got to be around 5 to 7 minutes apart and were starting to hurt. So we packed up and headed to the hospital. We were there for 2 hours and my contractions were 3 to 5 minutes apart but not dilating. They eventually sent us home. The nurse told us to go have sex(DH was fine with that) and she gave me a manual breast pump to stimulate my nipples. Weird when I started using it colostrum was coming out. I haven't leaked at all so I was expecting that. I am in a lot of pain today from pressure and hip pain so I stayed home from work. The nurse seemed to think I would go over the weekend but I guess noone can really know.

    Yea I had heard nipple stimulation I didn't know if there was any truth behind it but it is doctor recommended. Well nurse recommended!

    ya i heard of the simulation but never with a pump..but it would make sense. i know that the pumping and feeding is what i am least looking forward to b/c of my experience with my son so i would have to be really desperate to pump b/f the baby come lol...but hopefully it gets you moving!
