I need suggestions for baby-proofing this thing...

There is a little knob-like thing (it's a little metal thing that sticks about and it's about the size of a pen cap) on the radiator in our living room that is about her head level.  I'm scared to death she's going to fall and crack her head on it.

The only thing I can think of is to put a little foam ball over it, but we've been having a hard time finding a ball that's the right size and firm enough to actually do anything.  Anyone have any other suggestions?  I'd really appreciate it.  TIA!

    This might look bad but could you cut a square of bubble wrap and tape it over the area?

    You could go ghetto and use some bubble wrap and duct tape???

    My first thought was a foam cap; but, I can see how that would be difficult with such an odd item.

    What about a much bigger STYRAPHOME ball from a craft store?  If its bigger and she fell on it, it wouldn't break easily.  Eh just my thought, it would look pretty stupid though

    I'm all about redneck babyproofing...what if you take a tennis ball and cut an X in it and pop it over the knob?
