please HELP!!!!

since about 8 weeks DS has been amazing. he would go to sleep without much fuss is his crib and sleep 6-7 hours. the past 3 days he increased the amount he is eating and started going 3 hours in between however he has become a beast to put down at night and then wakes up 2-3 times. i put his pacifier back and goes back to sleep.  can anyone give me advice on why he has started this at night??
