This is what happens when DH is off for a week (Yes, I'm blaming him) and things get so bad that I throw up my hands and stay upstairs in my office, bumping all day.
Get cracking! You have to post Before/After pics tomorrow!
I find it easiest to start with a dishwasher load and then while that is running you can clean some other room. Then when you get back to the kitchen it feels half clean, lol
You are very brave for posting these pics. My house looked pretty similar til I went thru my nesting phase. I feel so much better having a clean house now and I just have to worry about upkeep. Get it done now while you still have some energy. Honestly, your kitchen is the room that needs the most TLC. I'm counting on seeing some "after" pics. :-)
Kim I should post pics of my house to make you feel better. It's a fuckiing disaster zone! Every time I look around and think about all the shiit that needs to be packed and cleaned I want to break down in tears.

Keep in mind that I'm in the middle of trying to sort through and pack 2 floors worth of stuff without any help at the moment. I get out of breath just talking on the phone so I'm pretty much screwed on packing.
Here's the "goal" for each of the rooms. Everything boxed/in crates/organized:
I have seriously contemplated chunking most of it in the trash because I'm feeling that overwhelmed. My mom will be here in a few days to help me, but it's still going to take a ton of work for me to meet my goal of being moved in and having the house look nice by the end of the month.
Re: No Judging... (Pics-in-Post...May be Too Much for Some...)
Stop posting picture of my kitchen!
We are in the same boat.
If you're gonna' do it, don't do it silently! lol I need the judging, actually, for motivation.
God, just looking at those pictures, while I sit amongst this squalor is making me feel ill.
That kitchen ... I think I'm just going to set the place on fire and start over somewhere new.

:::silently judges Shorty for judging Kim because I distinctly remember Shorty saying she never cleans either::: (just like me!)
WORSE?! lol Thanks but I don't think it could get a whole lot worse unless I start shitting on the carpet.
Go clean that place! I can't believe you are going to have a baby live there. That is just g-ross. I feel sorry for your child.
::flips hair::
Now go clean or I shall taunt you a second time.
LOL well don't do that!
That was almoooost enough. Close, so close... but I'm still on the couch, popping M&M's.
Pshaw!
::gives aegrimm a dirty look for remembering that at an inconvenient time::
Just look at my pictures again and you'll feel better about your house.
Please do!
*grabs camera*
I'll be back lol
::waits around for more pictures to judge::
