So far I'm thinking of either making organic, fairly-traded milk and white chocolate dipped pretzels (some with sprinkles), or whipping up a big batch of a yummy spice rub (not too spicy, more just seasoning) for meat or veggies and putting it in a reusable glass jar with a pretty label and ribbon. Which would you rather receive from a friend?
Any more ideas for homemade gifts of the food-type???
Re: Inexpensive homemade (food) holiday gift ideas...
I did cookies and chocolate covered pretzels last year. This year, cookies and hot chocolate mix. I wanted to make peppermint marshmallow but I don't have a stand mixer or the patience to hold a hand mixer infinitely.
Seasoning rub sounds yummy, but not everyone has the same tastes. If you know your audience, so to speak, I would do that though. Good idea!
i am doing a basket of random things
1. hot chocolate on a stick https://giverslog.com/?p=3290
2. home made refrigerator pickles https://sarahsfabday.blogspot.com/2009/05/refrigerator-pickles.html
3. orange marmalade (ina on food networks recipe)
4. raspberry pinwheel cookies
i know it is random but thats just how i am. and other random hand made goodies (ribbon and button book marks, christmas photo frames, and more) lol
I would prefer the spice rub !

Those sound yummy! I'd like to receive the spice rub, personally.
What about homeade granola in a jar? Cookie mix in a jar? Homemade jam is my fave, but kind of hard to get in the winter.
So creative, I love the spice-rub idea!
