Me too! I understand that they *think* they are tired because I also thought I was tired when I was where they are. I don't want to be "that" person who tells them to just wait, because those people annoyed the hell out of me when I was pregnant, so I just sit here and say "just wait" in my head.
i've thought that as well, but then i remember how incredibly annoyed i always got when i read people telling me "just you wait - you don't even know the meaning of tired yet." i wanted to throat punch them by the time i delivered.

I was more tired when I was pregnant in the beginning than I have been post partum... That crazy first tri tiredness combined with hyperemesis- ugh. I'd rather have my new baby tiredness than go though that again.
Am I the only one?
Honestly, it's a totally different kind of tired to me. I slept like total crap when I was pregnant, especially at the end. Between the aches and pains, having to sleep on my side, and constantly getting up to pee, it really really sucked.
Now I'm tired too, for sure, but when I do sleep it's GOOD sleep! And at least there's a reason for the sleep deprivation. I used to get so pissed when I was pregnant because I wanted to sleep, and I had time to sleep, but my body wouldn't do it.
"For a long time there were only your footprints & laughter in our dreams & even from such small things, we knew we could not wait to love you forever."
LOL! Yeah, I'm so glad I slept 10-12 hours a night at the end of my pregnancy. Not that it does me any good now, but I have fond memories...
Also while "pregnant tired" I didn't wake up and find my coffee grinder in the refrigerator, nor did I empty the change from my pockets and throw it in the garbage can rather than my change jar.

LOL. I was actually way more tired at the end of pregnancy then I have been since DD was born. Don't hate
Now with DD1, that was a whole other story, with sleep paralysis and all. Oh I dread ever experiencing that ever again!
CP 3/07 BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08. BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09. TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen. BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy. BFP 11/14
My brother's friend, a freshman in college, was complaining to me about how exhausted she was b/c she had to take two exams in one day and then stay up all night watching the stupid New Moon movie...
Moms of new babies aren't the only ones allowed to be exhausted. I was definitely one that dealt with more exhaustion at the end of my pregnancy than I do now.

Ditto this.
Pregnant sleep sucks! Especially towards the end when you have to get up to pee a million times a night, or not being able to sleep on your stomach, or needing help from YH to roll over.
New Momma sleep sucks because even if you can't sleep, you can't just lay there resting until you do fall asleep, you have to get up and feed/change the baby and do other random tasks as needed, no matter how badly you want to close your eyes "just for a minute."
Either way, everyone's experiences are different... and every mule thinks her load is the heaviest
Re: When my pregnant friends on facebook post that they are so tired...
yup exactly!!
No we really really don't. We can say oh I went to grad school and had lots of all nighters and blah blah but this is a WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL of tired.

I had men at work complaining to me how much their backs, legs, etc. hurt.
All while I sat there, 36 weeks pregnant with a separated pubic bone.
I hated it so much when people said this crap to me when I was pregnant. having an infant is exhausting, yes, but so is being 9 months pregnant!
I personally think having an infant is LESS tiring than being in the 3rd trimester.
Ditto this.
