Has anyone had one of these while pg? I'll be getting a massage soon and I need to choose between this and a prenatal, which is essentially a regular massage. I want the warm stone massage more but am wondering if the temps are ok. They never put them on my tummy. Usually on my back, the back of my legs, on my feet and hands. They aren't hot enough to heat my body temp. I guess I want to just double check. WDYT?
Re: Hot/Warm stone massage while pregnant?
That sounds heavenly.
A nurse told me it was fine to use a heating pad on my back as long as I didn't wrap it around my stomach, kept it on low, and didn't fall asleep with it on. I don't see what the difference would be.
make sure your masseuse is certified in prenatal massages. They will know what is ok and not. I have had them done on my legs (when I got a pedi) but haven't had a massage w/hot stones w/being pg. Like Amy said I would think it would be ok if it's not on your belly.
I have an appt next wknd, I might have to ask my masseuse about adding the hot stones!!!!

I don't take one single minute for granted.
They offer pre- and post- natal massages that are actually done on water-filled cushions and I don't have to turn over. I'm going to call and see if they can just combine that with the stones. Shouldn't be a problem. Either way, I can't wait!
Thanks for all the responses!
