Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? Tree is up, will be decorating it tonight!
What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? No theme, we have ornaments that mean something to us (i.e. from our honeymoon, an expectant couple one from last year, etc.).
Have you done any special "babyproofing" as far as your holiday decorations are concerned? No, that will be next year!
What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? I'm not sure, I guess we will have to start our own
Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? At home we did both, went to my grandmother's on Christmas Eve and had santa at home on Christmas morning.
Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? Yep, it's been up since the day after Thanksgiving.
What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? White, silver and crimson. We decorate with balls mostly and some ornaments thrown in.

Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? Christmas Eve with the IL's, Christmas day with DH and my family.

What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? White lights only/clear, gold and maroon ornaments.
Have you done any special "babyproofing" as far as your holiday decorations are concerned? No. My nieces will be here tomorrow and Friday so we shall see if I need to start babyproofing.
What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? Once we have a baby we want to start a tradition of going to Bellingrath Gardens to see the Christmas lights.
Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? Christmas Eve. Once we have a baby we will start opening gifts on Christmas day.

What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? I'm very traditional. I like red and green, a little bit of brushed gold. But I don't have a theme.

What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? my mom buys my sister (along w/stepsisters and the grandchildren) matching pjs. This started w/just my sis and me. She always "picks out" our Christmas eve gift which is obviously the pjs, so we can wear them to bed and be in them for pics on Christmas day. So silly but I love it!!!

What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? Green and red balls and other ornaments. No real theme. Lots of kid type ornaments.
Have you done any special "babyproofing" as far as your holiday decorations are concerned? I keep reminding Lyla that we don't take the ornaments off the tree. She will repeat me, so I know she understands. It's cute. She will say "Don't take ornaments off tree, mommy!" Hehe. We have some kid friendly decorations that I let her play with, like a snow globe that is plastic and the Tappers from Hallmark last year. I think those and her Christmas books deter her from the other decorations, so far.
What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? I bought an ornament this year to put on the tree in honor of my mom each year to help the kids remember her. Also, we will let the girls open one gift that we choose on Christmas Eve.
Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? One on Christmas Eve, the rest on Christmas morning. Matt and I open our gifts to each other on Christmas Eve night after the girls are asleep and we put out Santa's gifts. It's a long night and morning comes very early but I love it!!

Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? it's up but the only thing on it so far is the lights...my whole household has been sick so hopefully I'll feel better enough to finish it by this weekend
What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? I have red and gold balls and then ornaments that have meaning to them on there

What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? making cookies together and reading both The Christmas Story and Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve...also I am going to do an advent calendar starting next year with her.
Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? both..we have Christmas Eve with my family, then we open ours Christmas morning, and then go to the inlaws Christmas afternoon/evening
Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? Yes.. we actually put ours up the weekend before Thanksgiving!
What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? The tree in our living room has gold, bronze, earthy green and brown ornaments on it. I use almost all balls and german glass ornaments. Then we have a small metal silver tree in K's room that has silver ornaments along with a few "baby's first christmas" ornaments that we got at a shower. We have a third tree, which I actually put up at my inlaw's house this year. It has all baby blue, silver and white german glass ornaments on it.
Have you done any special "babyproofing" as far as your holiday decorations are concerned? Not really, other than constantly re-directing K whenever she starts crawling toward the Christmas tree.
What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? My family always has a Norwegian-themed dinner on Christmas Eve to remember our heritage and we go to the Christmas Eve service that night. I hope to continue that tradition in our own family.

What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? I go the very traditional/whimsical theme...everything is pretty much gold/maroon with hints of green

I made sure everything was high enough that he couldn't reach- that's my hold up on the tree...I think I'm just going to have to leave the bottom half undecorated or put up a gate- little man is into and eating everything!!

Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? It went up yesterday but the pregnancy hormones made me so irritable that we only managed to put the lights on before I was irrationaly angry
What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? Whenever we go somewhere on vacation we buy an ornament so that is what we decorate our tree with.

Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? It depends on what family we are with or if we are travelling. My grandma is Christmas Eve, everyone else is Chrismas Day

What kind of ornaments/colors do you decorate with? Mostly balls, just because we haven't had the years to collect a ton of sentemental ornaments, or homemade ones! We use candy apple red and lime green mostly as our colors

What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? I love that my family spends Christmas day together, at our home, just us. We'll have to modify that slightly to go to DH's Grandmother's Christmas evening with the rest of the family (literally, about 50 people) we wouldn't miss that for the world! Also, growing up my brother and I would wake up early that morning and go wake our parents up. From there we were allowed to go get our stockings and we'd open those on mom & dad's bed. Then we all ate a BIG breakfast together and were finally allowed to open gifts (one at a time) after breakfast. It's a great way to make it last and make it about family and fellowship instead of just material gifts.

What is one holiday tradition you hope to pass down to your DC? We always made sugar cookies around Christmas. And I always spent the room in my sister's room on Christmas eve.

Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? In recent years (due to traveling, etc) we have opened most gifts Christmas Eve. We will prob wait til Cmas Day to open Kid's stuff though.

Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? Weekend before Christmas with my parents, Christmas Eve morning at our house, Christmas eve night with DH family, Christmas day with DH grandmother, Christmas night with DH granddad. It's a whole lot of Christmas all week long. lol
