...strollers...

I'm so annoyed that i can't find the post in my listings where a bunch of you had answered my question about which stroller you had and why you selected it. It was a month or so ago at least. So.... if you don't mind again, telling me which stroller you got and why?

We are just starting to research and pick one (or 2) out. I am a runner so i am looking for a style that would work, but i don't think we necessarily want or need something like that on a daily basis. But i don't know!

TIA for thoughts and feedback.

Re: ...strollers...

  • We got the Baby Jogger City Mini. I first like that it has three wheels, and it's super light and easy to push around.  After watching my 100lb cousin fold it with one hand, and then barely put any effort in lifting it into her SUV. I was amazed. She's loved it so much this past year, and I got it in black and bought the adapter for the Graco Snugride.

It also has a lot of great reviews on many websites. Good luck!

  • Bumbleride Indie.  We chose it because its relatively lightweight, can be used on rough terrain and for light jogging, accomodates infant car seats, comes in super cute colors, isn't ridiculously expensive, and has great reviews!

  • The Baby Jogger City series are great strollers but they aren't a jogging stroller.  I think the Summitt series are the ones that you can jog with.  Definitely consider a BOB if you are looking to run with the stroller. BRU was having a 20% sale on BOB's and REI discounts them a couple of times a year as well.  Get one that doesn't have a fixed wheel if you want to use it day to day and then you can lock the wheel for running.

I am getting a Teutonia t-100 series and a Peg Si for our lightweight option.

Haha...that made me laugh out loud.  :)

  • Hey there!  We have the Jeep Liberty Limited (not Sport - that one has plastic wheels, not real):

    https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3502257

We love it!  It has a locking front swivel wheel so great for both jogging and tight turns (ie:  in store).  It has ipod section for adults and fun section in the front for the child.  Oh - and lots of pockets, storage areas, etc...

Plus - the infant seat fits right in without having to buy any adaptors.  We have the Graco Snugride 32 and it fits perfectly.  The rain/sun shade has a window in it so you can see the baby.

It's also really light, folds/unfolds so easily - just one hand - and folds small enough to fit in the trunk of my Hyundai Elantra with no problems.

I know a bunch of other girls on our local also have and love it.  I highly recommend.  Good luck with your decision!

  • we got 2.  i fell in love w/ the Valcobaby Runabout Trimode and was just going to get it.  i was eventually talked into getting a travel system as well, which is just more practical for an infant, so we got a Graco travel system.

i picked the Valco b/c its not heavy, has variable position front wheel, holds graco (and other) infant seats, and about a million different reasons.  i found a local store that had them, and test drove it and a few others and i liked it the best.

i picked the Graco b/c it seemed the simplest and lightest to me.  i like that the infant seat fits in shopping carts, how simple the system is to fold up and just preferred the infant seat over Chicco's so that was our pick...

  • Aaaaaand here's another Baby Jogger City Mini owner here! Love it for all the reasons the PPs have stated.

I have a serious obsession with this stroller. Obviously haven't used it yet, but I drool over every day when I pull into my garage and it's sitting there staring at me. Wink

i just recently saw the BOB stroller for the first time and really liked it. I was getting fitted for new running kicks, but they were sold in the same store. I didn't have time to look, but i intend to go back and check them out and play.

thanks for all the input ladies! Looks like there are a couple of popular ones out there. Oh boy, decisions, decisions.
