Thanks to the stomach bug....

I'm pretty sure we're done nursing.

Thursday night Avery didn't nurse - and later came down w/ the bug. Saturday night I was at a hockey game and therefore she didn't nurse.

Monday night I was passed out in bed and DH put her down with no problems.

Tonight I put her to bed and she didn't even ask to nurse. Just wanted to go to bed.

I don't like to think about it because I'm really sad about it.

    Aww, I'm sorry you are sad about it.  Just think of what an AWESOME job you did being able to nurse her for so long!

    I have no idea how it feels to be in your shoes...I'm sure I would be very sad too. But, I just wanted to say I think it's awesome that you were able to nurse this long!

    I know you're sad, but be proud of yourself! You did a great thing by nursing her for this long. I'm trying to be positive for you bc I know I'll feel the same way later on.

    I feel your pain. But, be glad that it was an easy end and that you didn't end up feeling like you were the one taking it away from her!  I felt sad for a while when Jenna was weaned, and in all honesty, still miss it sometimes even though it's been 7 months or so.  But, it is also nice and definitely gave me a bit of myself back too...

    I think if I offered it, she would gladly accept so it's been a little bit of a self-discipline thing for me.  I wasn't going to offer until she asked...

     We rocked for about 2 minutes, she grabbed her pacifier (next to wean) and then arched her back and pushed me away (her sign for "put me to bed now mom!")
