ok so it has been almost 2 months since d&c. About a month ago I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and suddenly had excruciating pain that lasted about an hour. I dont remember which side it was, but was on one side of my lower abdomen. DH wanted me to go to er, but I said to wait it out and sure enough it went away. Then a little less than a week ago (thanksgiving eve morning) around 5 am the pain came back, however not as severe this time, on the left side, and went away after about an hour and 1/2. This morning it happened again, and was the worst pain of all! I couldnt breathe deep, barely talk, or straighten out to walk. I crawled downstairs and called mom to take me to ER (DH already was at work). By the time mom arrived, pain had subsided?! Decided not to go to ER, still have minor pain in side, but barable. So my long question.. has this happened to anyone? Could it be a cyst? Is this something that is common after a D&C?

I had a very large cyst that showed up after taking Clomid. It was big enough that I could feel it from the outside to be about the size of the palm of my hand. Luckily, it did not rupture and it went down on its own.
I had stabbing pain off and on the whole time I had it and the area was always tender. My DD head butted me while playing around and I was doubled in over in pain for a while. I would guess that maybe your cyst ruptured. Call your doctor, for sure. They'll want to check it out.
You should call your doc.
I had two ovarian cysts a few years back. One was the size of a cantaloupe and the other the size of a softball. They were both dermoid cysts. The little one was bothering me more than the big one because of the placement. Depending on where the cyst is it may cause pain at certain times and not others. Mine only hurt when I worked out. They can be very dangerous if they burst or twist.
My cyst problems were all before my m/c but I monitor my ovaries bi-annually. I still have two cysts one in each ovary 2 cm in size. As long as they don't grow or cause me too many problems I will not need surgery.
Let me know how things go. I will be thinking about you.
