I was shocked to learn that Elizabeth has been in the top 10 or so spot for the last 30 years!!!! But, I don't seem to know many little girls named Elizabeth or many grown either.
Just on Facebook I have 16 friends who are either Beth, Liz or Elizabeth. Plus my Aunt who is not on FB. Plus another friend who is not on FB. So 18 without thinking too hard :-) Though none of them are younger than 24ish. So I don't know about little girls. It's personally one of my favorite names. Pretty, classic, and so many good nicknames!

A ton. I have two cousins Elizabeths (one on each side of my family). MIL is Elizabeth, one of my college roommates was Elizabeth. Also we have good family friends named Elizabeth. Personally, I probably have 8 or so that are close enough that if I picked that name, it would be weird.
But it's popular and timeless for a reason. And there are a slew of nn's LO can go by... so I wouldn't worry about it being uber popular.
Around 5 of my generation, and several of my grandmas & g-gma's generation. None in the new generation, they all seem to be the spanish version Isabelle now.
I know 4, but none are my friends just acquaintances. One goes by Lizzie, another Betsy and then the two others go by Elizabeth. I love the name. Very classic and gorgeous!
I know a lot of Elizabeths but usually they go by Betsy, Beth, Liz, Lizzie, etc. I love the name but can't use it because DH's ex-wife is an Elizabeth. FYI - she's the only Elizabeth I know that I don't particularly care for.
In my cell phone alone, I have 3 Elizabeths listed and these are only my good friends. I know quite a few more through work, from the neighborhood, friends of DH's, etc.
I have one good friend named Elizabeth, who goes by Elizabeth. A few casual friends and FB friends, too, but they all go by nicknames: Libby, Beth, and Liz.
Elizabeth is the only name DH and I can agree on for a girl!
My mom and my sister have it as a middle name....personally I can not stand the name. It's boring, long and I think of the queens in all my history books (old fashioned). Notice everyone shortens the name and or tries to make the name more current than it is.
Re: How many Elizabeth's do you know?

ohhhh I know quite a few! Some go by Elizabeth, Beth, Betsy, & Liz... I also know a lot of people who have Elizabeth as their middle name too.

ETA: None are under the age of 20.
Probably 4 or 5.
But it doesn't seem a popular name to me so much as a traditional one. I don't mind hearing a traditional name more often.

Hmm... one from high school and one in my current friends.

My name is Elizabeth I go by Liz...and growing up and now, I only know of 1 other.
It is a beautiful classic name, not like a lot of the trundy stuff people are using now. there is a reason all the queens in books use it!
I work with an Elisabeth and she goes by her full name.
I also know a 7month old and a 9 year old named Elizabeth.
