Emetrol

in 1st Trimester

Hi. Has anyone tried this?  I am about 8 weeks pregnant and so sick.  I wound up in the emergency room last night because I was so dehydrated. I looked online today and it said Emetrol was safe to take when you are pregnant, I was in such a state, I bought it, took it and now I'm a nervous wreck.  My doctor's office was closed so I wasn't able to call him.

Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this medication.

    I've taken it, but not since I've been pregnant!  Honestly, if it's on the approved list, I wouldn't sweat it!  I love that stuff, the minute I feet sick to my stomach or started to throw up, I  would down some (or did)!

    I haven't needed anything yet, but Emetrol is on my OB's list of meds that are ok for morning sickness!  Sorry you're so sick!  With my first pregnancy I was really sick and I too had a night in the ER because of dehydration.  My Dr prescribed me some meds to take then and it helped a ton!  Anyway, I think you will be fine and if it doesn't help call your Dr and see if they can prescribe something.

    My Dr. specificially told me to get it.  It is the only safe over the counter anti nausea drug.  That being said, I bought it but haven't taken it because I suck at taking liquid meds and am scared I will just puke it right back up.

    It helped alot.  I saw it on Babycenter that it was ok, but I didn't think of whether it was ok within the first 3 months.  I called the pharmacist and he said it was just a combination of sugars, there was no real medication in it.  I had a miscarriage in June and now I am so nervous with every step of this pregnancy, but I can't function very well feeling sick all the time.  I'm going to call my doctor in the morning.  Thanks everyone!

    If it's on the list your ok. But, you should try unisom sleep tablets. Take a half a tablet in the morning and the other half in the evening. It is a category A and actually has worked pretty well for me.
