Who's DCs aren't walking?

How old are they? Are the close?

Re: Who's DCs aren't walking?

  • Oh Lord she is cute! DS didn't start walking till about 14 months. My cousin not till 19 months. Its all very relative. Oh and another cousin not until he was a couple weeks shy of 2.

  • DS is just over 13 months. He is still pretty afraid. He will walk behind his toys, but he won't stand without holding on to something.
  • DS is still not walking, but he cruises the furniture quite expertly.  Once in a while he will he will "let go" but catches himself and sits down.  I'm sure he will walk soon.  He was 6 week premature, so I take that into consideration and also his daddy didn't walk until he was 16 months, so I figure when he is ready he will walk

  • DD didn't start walking until 16 months. She is pretty advanced on her vocabulary and our pedi told us often times kids that are super advanced verbally are slower on the physical milestones (and visa versa).

She is now running around with the rest of them. :-)

  • DS will not walk unless he's pushing or holding onto something (usually with only one hand).

He has taken steps when he wasn't paying attention but no *real* walking yet. He's mega tall (34" at 15mo appt) and has a long torso so I think he's just being cautious and has a higher center of gravity.

I'm trying not to get nervous...

  • Not walking yet here! 14 months today. She'll get there, and I'm certainly not rushing it!

  • We're not walking yet. She's 16 months. We're not even close.
  • Not walking, and almost 16 months. I don't think she is all that close- she does cruise some but won't walk with us or walking behind a toy. She'll walk a few steps pushing a chair, but that's it. She didn't crawl until 12 months and definitely prefers it to cruising/walking now, so I expect it to be at least another couple of months.
