My bad wife confession

Adam lost a sippy cup of milk a couple weeks ago.. we turned the house upside down looking for it.

I found it today, and I'm not touching it. I'm leaving it for my husband to "find" tonight. No way am I opening that thing.

Re: My bad wife confession

  • I think I'd just throw it in the trash. My DH would probably blame me for it! Plus I'd never trust it to be truly clean again.

  • I'd throw it away.
  • good luck!  I do that same thing with my husband.  I call it the waiting game.  I have never won.  It's amazing what he can "overlook."
  • In the trash it would go.  DD lost a milk sippy in DH's car, in the summer, in GA, for like three weeks.  (The car was at the shop most of the time.)  I found it once we got the car back because his car smelled SOOOOOO bad.  I'm sure the mechanic was thinking something died under the hood.  Anyways.  The contents looked like swamp water or something.  Ick!  I wouldn't have dared to open it.
  • yeah def toss it. I threw away a onesie from dayare because it looked liek a poop bomb went off in it.

  • I would NOT open it. Toss it. I've lost a milk cup once for only 1 full day and when I opened it, I actually gagged. I tossed it immediately.

  • I would just throw it away.  We left a bottle at my grandma's house and she had cleaned it for us.  Yeah, she put the lid on all the way and it was still wet.  It was moldy inside.  Nothing like throwing $4 away.  I didn't even waste my time trying to clean it.

  • That has happened to me and we always just throw them away. Neither of us ever wants to clean them.

  • I've been missing one for a few weeks now. I'm scared that it might be alive when I finally find it! LOL
  • Wow.  It never would have occured to me to throw the cup away.  Idea

  • Gross.  Just throw it out.  It's probably moldy and smells like ass.
  • LOL!! I'm dying from these replies.

I'd toss it! The smell probably won't go away and I'm sure theirs mold in the valve.

This exactly. I just did this today when I found a sippy in the drawer of our side table! It has been there for at least a week because we were OOT Tues-Sunday last week!

Me neither. Bring it outside, dump it out in the grass and rinse it while holding your nose. Throw it in the dishwasher and wash it. Good as new.

  • DH has no sense of smell (it's weird) so any and all particularly smelly jobs are left for him, since he is immune.

There is a tupperware or two in the back of the fridge that he needs to take care of.  The smell alone may make me puke.
