we eat a lot of different foods in my house so I don't see them as exotic per se, but dd recently had an avocado eel roll (we took off the seaweed) and LOVED it. she also really LOVES my dad's homemade tamales.

She eats almost everything we do. Let's see, most exotic...our neighbor makes us homemade Indian food, which she really likes (especially idlis), and she loves kiwi and mango. Her favorite food is okra, which I don't find exotic but my Bostonian husband seems to find out of the ordinary!
My DCP swears DS eats the most exotic food, I guess everyone else packs sandwhiches and I give him left overs. Today he had pumpkin Polenta with black beans and peas. He LOVED an Indian Curry DH made. And really likes Risotto.
She had some of our shrimp tempura roll and loved it! We were out at our favorite sushi place and she kept pointing at our food so we gave her some. She ate the whole thing! She's a picky eater so we were shocked.
I made a super-spicy Jambalaya a few weeks ago, with good jalepeno-aunduille sausage and chicken (DH is allergic to shellfish, so DS won't be trying those for a LONG time). -Side note, DH is from Baton Rouge and his dad just brought us the sausage...ummm! Anyway, I thought it would be WAY to hot for Lucas, but he tried it and scarffed it down! Loved it.
Ditto thai food- she eats the ridiculously spicy stuff that I can't handle. Same with mexican. I can't think of a specific exotic food, but I can't think of much she hasn't eaten either.
DD will try most anything. She's the only kid in the world who prefers green vegetables -- especially spinach! I wouldn't consider this that exotic, but she had part of a lobster roll when we were home in Maine.

Does seasoned ground venison count? It was the first meat we offered when she was about 8 or 9 months old. She loved it. She also loves Spanish rice soft tacos, which is funny b/c she's the most bland food eater aside from that. She's very picky.
OMG I really did just LOL. This is sooo Natalie. I have to vacumm every day because she eats anything and everything off the floor. Including dead bugs, spiders, wood chips, grass and cat hair.

Ben is like this too. He LOVES veggies. Broccoli, brussel sprouts, cucumber, peppers, lettuce...he eats it all and is willing to pretty much try anything.
We don't go too exotic in this house, but he loves hummus and had quinoa last week and couldn't shove it in fast enough.
My dad fed me all kinds of weird stuff when I was a kid and I want to do the same for JD. Up until recently he's had a dairy/soy intolerance so we're just now getting to experiment with a lot of things. Last week I fed him steamed clams dipped in butter. He loved them... especially getting to play with the clam shells as he ate!
Loves curry. Brie or really any type of soft or stinky cheese. Anything that's really spicy - she loves jalapenos and pretty much any type of Mexican food. She tried a lot of Puerto Rican dishes at a friend's first birthday party, but I could not for the life of you tell you the name of them.
The kid eats anything, including red raw onions, raw garlic, lemons and limes, black/green/kalamata olives, etc.
Re: what is the most "exotic" thing your LO has eaten

Wait, he's had some baby back ribs from Famous Dave's. And Italian beef from Portillo's. LMAO
Seriously, I need your kids to teach my child how to eat like a normal person!
lol natalie. i could live with you!
timmy on the other hand will eat anything. he's his daddy's boy.
Bites of sushi
We also eat deer more often than anything at home, so when he eats meat it's usually chicken or deer.

Nori (the seaweed used to wrap sushi). He loves it so much that we sometimes hide his yucky foods in it to trick him into eating it.
chicken tikka masala and any asian foods.
Corned beef & cabbage, lol
lmao...love it.
ETA: ds loves hummus and limes. not at the same time though.
