how long did you bleed after d&c??

today is day 8 of bleeding, it's not super heavy but it's there. it's still red, not brown yet. with my first d&c i bled maybe 3 days then brown spotting for about a week. then i had AF arrive 3 weeks later. i feel like this time maybe longer...hope not though. i just want the bleeding to stop so i can have AF arrive in a month...ugh it's frustrating. thanks ladies for the vent

I bled for about 5 days each time, and it was really brown. I hope it stops, how awful. Have you talked to the doc? When is your f/u?

no i haven't talked to the doc yet. but my f/u is next thursday. i knowthe length of time you bleed can be different each time, but its still frustrating

My doctor said I might bleed for 2 weeks.

I had no bleeding until day 6. Then I had spotting until day 17. And light bleeding on day 9 and 11. I ovulated on day 19 and got my period on day 30. So, even though I bled until day 19, I still got my period on day 30.

Everyone is different and I am sure you are fine.

This sucks. I'm so sorry. I bled for about 7 days after both of mine. It started out red and went to brownish by the end of the week. I hope it stops soon for you.

The waiting after a D&C is exhausting. I had bleeding or at least some degree of spotting for about 2 weeks after mine. I also had some spotting that started about 4 weeks after my D&C, but it wasn't enough to call a period. I'm now on Provera to start a period. My doc had me wait 6 weeks post D&C to start Provera, and it is a 10-day dosage.
