We are taking LO for her first professional photos today. We are getting them done for Christmas cards, etc and also a family portrait for the grandma's. The photographer is a friend of a friend who has a studio in her home. I got her a couple of cute Christmas outfits that I'm going to bring and I'm going to try to time her feedings so she's not hungry and fussy. Any suggestions on what I should ask her to photograph? Poses that might be cute for a baby who can't sit up yet? Christmas props I should bring? Family poses? I think she's expecting me to direct her as to what I want and I'm not sure what to say.

Re: Professional Photos
When we took pics before he could sit up long enough to snap a pic, we did a lot of tummy time ones and they're so cute! He'd push up and kind of turn his head towards the camera. Our photographer also props them on a boppy for pics when they're smaller. Or if they have a chair or something you can sit her in it and prop her up?
As a photographer, though, I don't think she'll expect you to direct everything, usually they have standard poses and stuff they do for babies.
I would bring cloth diaper covers. I love baby pics without clothes, but diaper pics always look much better if you have a cover so you don't see those annoying disney characters.
Here are a couple of my non-pro xmas pics of DS.
Thank you so much!
