Heart Beat

When does the baby's heart start beating? I am thinking of getting a doppler. Thanks to the posts below lol.

    I have one and I love it. However, most home dopplers won't pick up on the HB  until later...Have you heard it at the doc?

    One girl on here claimed to have heard it at 9wks on her home doppler, but I don't think most of us will.  From what I have been reading here it is between 10-12 wks.

    The heart starts beating at about 6 weeks, but you can't hear it on a doppler until about 11 to 12 weeks.

    I SAW the heartbeat on an ultrasound at 6 weeks, 2 days...and the tech said that the heart had probably only been beating for a few days.  My best friend is 9 weeks, and I refuse to let her use my doppler until she's at least 10 weeks because I'm too worried she'll freak out if we can't find the heartbeat and she will have no recourse (the doctor will say OF COURSE YOU CAN'T and tell her to wait a few more weeks).
