next question to those who pump...

okay, so im pumping and not really getting an increas in supply... my baby right now is eating about 3 ounces TOTAL do you think it is better to:

- feed her 2 ounces of breast milk and then 1 ounce of formula or

- let her eat the 3 ounces of breast milk and run out quicker and then just feed 3 ounces of formula the next feeding

i hope that made sense!! and i have a doctors appt on thursday so yes i will be talking to my doctor about all this, but need all the knowledge i can get for right now. thanks ladies!

    My LC said to save the breastmilk until you have a full feeding instead of doing a little and a little in each bottle with formula, that way if the baby doesn't take the whole bottle no breastmilk is wasted. HIH!

    You can give the bm first and them finish up with formula-that way none is wasted.
