I have a love/hate relationship with

the show hoarders.

I want to beat these people who let their nice houses get so disgusting all the while bemoaning that they are throwing away a hat that Aunt Betty gave them in 1981 that smells like cat pee.

OMG. These people are nuts and they shouldn't be allowed to have houses.

    there was one that the woman had her kids taken away because of her house and she refused still to throw things away...the husband after the show left her and got the kids back. After that episode I couldn't stand to watch the show because I wanted to reach thru and smack their dumbA$$es

    Yes! That woman is clinically insane and it's probably a good thing her kids are away from her.

    It is absolutely disgusting!

    I saw one and the dude had @ss wipe w/ on it crap plastered layer after layer on his bathroom floor. He didn't even flush used TP!

    I am way too excited for this show to come on, I too have a love/hate thing. I love seeing the mess (it makes me feel so tidy!) but I get irrationally angry when they don't throw stuff out, and then I have to turn it off Embarrassed

    omg i have the same relationship with that show! I can't understand how people get like that. I ended up yelling at the tv most of the time. Did you guys see the episode with the woman who had rotting food in her house and refused to throw it away. Ick! she swore the stuff was still good!

    Oh i agree but you would think your kids are taken away you'd atleast make a little more of an effort even if there is no chance in hell of you getting them back. We use to DVR it DH won't even watch it anymore.

    Yes I think this way too.... I love watching these shows and thinking about how clean my house is compared.

    IVF cycle 1-BPF!
    9/13/09-Twin boys born at 23 weeks due to Pprom.

    This show makes me freaking crazy. I always end up yelling at the television. The people on this show are so disgusting. It creeps me out.

    Have you met my neighbor?  He is 80+ with 50 cats and has stuff stacked in his house, yet he is sooo amazingly nice.  He dresses as Santa each Christmas and gives all the neighbors poinsettias.  He also scraped our driveway clean of leaves while we where at work.  He is amazingly nice but a hoarder...

    The animal ones kill me and it's a tad different (IMO) than just random collection of things that are 100 years old b/c their hearts are in the right place but their execution is lacking. I do feel sorry for those people.

    dude, i saw an episode earlier and at the end they said that the lady had 1400 boxes to put in storage.  she's the one who's kids got taken away from her and then her and her husband got a divorce.  how sad.  i have to imagine that there is some kind of mental disorder involved here.

    DH and I have stopped watching the show all together,  it's too disturbing.  Also,  I would find myself going overboard throwing things away for days after watching,  like I was in fear of becoming one myself.

    I watched this today and wanted to reach in the TV and knock some sense into some of those people.

    I had anxiety the whole time I was watching the show and now have plans to get rid of some of the things I've been holding onto that I don't need. So that was a bonus.

    I'm the same way with WifeSwap. DH won't watch it with me, and I only get halfway through before I get mad at it and turn it off!!

    Stupid football game. It'll be on the DVR when I get home tomorrow though! I love Intervention!
