Outfit for xmas and reg pics of 2 mo old... HELP

I am at a loss as to what to put him in for pictures. We are going to walmart a week from today for his pics and we are going to do 2 outfits probably.
I want to get some Christmas pics with a Christmas background and some that are more regular background. What should I put him in?
Also, he is not quite picking his head up all the time.. so we are going to try that but may not get that shot this time. I also don't know if he will even be awake.. but a sleeping baby is a cute baby as well. This will be his first ones done professionally.. all other pics were taken by me.
This is the Christmas background I think I want and then not sure what the other backgrounds will be yet. There are 2 examples on their website using this background.
The question is.. do I get a cute one piece thing or do a real outfit. What have you guys done? I am at a loss.. if you think of anything cute and have pics.. let me see.
Also... for the non-christmas ones I was thinking an outfit kind of like this...
I was thinking something like this on a plain white/ble background maybe with a blanket and maybe a bear. I think he is too old for pics with just a diaper.. right?

LOVE that blue outfit.
For the Christmas outfit go SIMPLE! You want the picture to be about him, not what he is wearing. Find a solid red of the same item above and you're good to go.
