F/U to last night's post

So I have a D&C scheduled for Friday (my choice to wait).  

When I got to the doctor's office today:  1) There was a newborn crying in the waiting room who everyone, but DH & I, was cooing over.  I was trying to not bawl.  2) Someone didn't get the message through that this was NOT my first prenatal appointment as of last week's turn of events.  So I did the whole pee-in-a-cup/receive prenatal info. folder thing until I told them what happened.  The nurse was mortified.  I felt bad because I work in a medical office & know sometimes these things happen & I am not upset with them.  But, ugh.  

They drew some blood (always an ordeal for me!) for routine stuff, & the nurse was great & scheduled my another U/S for tomorrow just to confirm & because I told her that I never got to see my baby last week & felt it would give me some closure.  She was great about this.

So, as long as tomorrow's results are as expected, my procedure will be Friday morning.  (I have a 3-day weekend this week, so figured it'd be the best time to rest/heal.  Fully aware nature may take its course before then.)
