When you had your most recent ultrasound (the one in your sig pic), did they take a guess at the sex of your baby?  If you're not familiar with the "nub theory," google it.  You have a great nub shot and I can pretty much guess the sex of your baby based on your picture!!!  Just wanted to let you know :)

    I do believe they did tell her.  However, she's not posting it on here b/c they're not broadcasting to their families (yet), and she's not sure if anyone from her family is on the board. She said you can PM her if you'd like to know the sex...

    I think this was the scenario with her...  Hmm

    Yup... the technician made a guess and said the doctor would confirm it... so the doctor came in, looked again, and guessed very confidently... and he disagreed with the technician!  He also said he's 93% accurate with his guesses, so we can decide who we want to believe.  We're still gonna wait til our 18 week scan to start telling people.  

    What's your guess?

    That's the doctor's guess, too.  The tech was SURE it was a girl, though.  So I'm still up in the air!

    Were they guessing based on the nub (in the profile shot) or a traditional "toilet shot" between the legs?  I'd go by the nub theory at this point.  Either way- congrats to you :)

    Thanks.  Not sure what they were looking at... the doctor seemed to not be able to tell based on any of the photos, cuz he had me get back on the table and he turned on the u/s again to get a better look.  The baby was turned at that point so he kept pumping my stomach to get the baby to flip over... I felt like a Magic 8 Ball!

    LOL!  I am crossing my fingers my nub shot is as clear as yours at my Nuchal Screen on Wednesday (although I prefer my baby's nub be flat/girly!).

    Good luck!!!  DH was super excited when the technician said girl, then was actually visibly bummed when the doctor said boy!  He's one of three boys and always wanted a girl in the family... I thought it was so cute that he's gunning so hard for a little girl!    I actually surprised myself with my reactions... I was happier when the doctor said boy than when the tech said girl!!!  I thought for sure I'd want a little girl, but I was ecstatic when I heard boy!!!

    Little boys are SOOOO much fun!  Since I've enjoyed little boys times TWO, I am ready for a little pink in the house (but will of course feel equally blessed if this little one makes it three-of-a-kind in our house!).
