Be Honest, is this too tacky? (NBR)

OK, so I bought my hub a polo shirt a few months ago, I bought the wrong size, but I never got around to exchanging it and lost the receipt, so it's just been hanging in the closet for awhile, with the tags and everything on it.

My SILs bf wants a polo for xmas, in the size I have. Is it super tacky to give him that one? - It's never been worn, hub didn't even try it on he knew it wasn't going to fit him. If I went to the store again, I'd be getting him that exact one, RL Polos don't change, ever. I just can't help but feel a little tacky about it.

Not tacky at all. I've done that with a baby shower gift before. I bought something for a work shower and wasn't working there by the time the shower rolled around so I gave it another shower!

Go for it! Just make sure hub knows not to say something like "hey isn't that the shirt you got me that didn't fit?"

If it's something you would have gotten him anyway then nope I don't think so.

Tacky is my old coworker re gifting a bachelorette present to another coworker when I gave her that present and I was at BOTH parties and she KNEW I would be there. Oh and also not even bothering to DUST OFF the present since it had already been a year!

I don't think it's tacky at all, the only problem I see with it is if the bf wants to return it for some reason (wrong color or something) and you don't have the receipt. He might think it's a little strange that you don't have the receipt if you recently bought it. Or if he tries to return it w/o the receipt, he may find out you bought it months ago. Which still isn't a big deal - who cares when you bought it? He just might be annoyed that he can't return it.

Not tacky. Tacky would be, DH wore it, you washed, DH decided he didn't like it and then you gave it as a give Stick out tongue .

definitely not tacky.. it's brand new and exactly what you would be buying him anyway. it's not like it's a size too small and you're still going to give it to him. go for it!
