I just scheduled my appt today to get it, and they said it had to be at the beginning of my period.  Is when it was done for anyone else?

    I had it inserted at a regular appointment since I was BFing and we weren't sure when my period would return.

    Same. I got mine on Wednesday and hadn't had a period yet due to EBF.

    This. I just happened to mention it at my 6 week appt and the dr did it right there.
