11-12 weekers

in 1st Trimester
Have any of you been able to make our the sex at this time during an ultrasound? I keep reading that it's possible and I have one on Friday!

    I asked my Dr. at the last appt. and he said I wouldn't be able to find out until late Jan. :(

    I'm only 10 weeks, but I sure hope so!  I have an u/s in a week and crossing my fingers!!

    I've heard that many u/s techs can take an educated guess, but I don't think I would feel very comfortable going out and buying blue or pink so early on.  Their little parts look very similar at that point  (google it).  It's really hard to tell.

    They can make a guess.  Both male & females have a little penis looking thing at this point but depending on which way it's pointing you can guess if it's a boy or a girl....

    Might as well wait, or you'll get your hopes up.  I wanted to find out at 16 weeks w/ my first but they refused to even look!

    Its possible but unlikely.  (just to small at this point.)  Your doctor will probably advise you to wait until closer to twenty weeks.  It would not be fun to have them guess wrong.

    When I was 12 or 13 weeks with my first DS, (16 years ago) they told me he was a boy and they were right.  I'm hoping they will be able to tell at my NT scan next week.

    I cant wait to find out either.  I had my nt scan last week and you still couldnt tell. were just stuck waiting

    I honestly wouldn't even ask my doc. to guess what I was having at that short of a time. I would be all excited and it could change between then and when they do it again at around 16-20 weeks. I'm getting mine done at 17wks and the doc. said thats a good time but he will check one more time 6wks after that.

    I had mine today and there was no mention of the sex.

    The girl and boy bits all look the same this early on.  I highly doubt you're going to be able to get an accurate answer!!
