What does your "coming home from the hospital" outfit look like? Are you packing two just in case Little One is bigger or smaller than expected? Just curious!
Im bringing a NB sized little Carters sleeper that says Just Chillin..and a 0-3 Carters 3 piece fleece set...When DS was born he was 6.5lbs but wore premie clothes for weeks, which is why Im packing the NB outfit.
no pics right now but I've got a couple options for our baby's trip home....small vs larger vs extra small and then my own personal paranoia is that my little girl will decide last minute to come out a boy and I'll only have a pink outfit at the hospital so we packed a neutral outfit too....I'm crazy, I know...
I've picked out a white gown with pink flowers. It has a matching hat and the sleeves fold over her hands to protect her from the finger nails. A gown was suggested by a friend, she said it made those first few hours of not knowing what to do (as far as diaper changing) easier.
I'm bringing at NB outfit and a 0-3 outfit. My OB told us LO would be "nice sized", so I want to be prepared! Both are just long sleeved footed sleepers. And I bought some cute hats, so I'll bring one of those too.

My MIL actually kept the outfit that DH wore home from the hospital 25 years ago ... so we are bringing that. It is a simple blue and white outfit and I am so excited that Jaden gets to wear his daddy's old outfit! We're also bringing a preemie sized gown and a preemie sized fleece sleeper.
I packed 2 outfits...one is just a fleece sleeper. The other is a red long sleeved onesie with a cream colored sweater dress from Gap. I have a cute red winter hat to go with it. Our hospital is attached to a heated parking garage and we park in the garage at home, so she won't actually be outside at all, so I prefer to bring her home in the 'cute' outfit.
Since it will be chilly, we are using a Carter's fleece sweatsuit thing. If it is too small (and God I hope it is not) I will have DH pick another outfit up from home. <tried to find a pic online but couldn't>

Ours is a onesie (two sizes just in case), a sweater, pants, hat and booties. The only thing we're packing two of is the onesie that goes under the sweater. I'm sure the sweater and pants will be a little big on him but that's OK. We're only about 10 minutes from the hospital and he'll still look cute in his pictures, even if it may be a little big.
haha ours will be a gender neutral hand-me-down sleeper from my daughter. nothing special...it's just a 15min ride home from the hospital for us. We did buy a girl and boy winter hat for the short walk to the car so we're prepared for either one.
coming home outfits make sense if you are coming home to something, but we'll just be driving home and then plopping him/her into their grandma's arms and then promptly collapsing in bed
Re: "Coming Home" Outfit?
This onesie (or sleeper if it's cold), socks, and a blanket.
This is one thing we're considering:

I need to pick out a few other options in case this is too big for her.
DD1: allergic to eggs & dairy
c/p 4/1/11
DD2: milk and soy protein intolerant, allergic to eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, bananas
